Host Requests Extra $151.11 Four Days Before Move-In: Is This Legit?

We’re about four days away from moving into a new place, and the host has suddenly asked us to cancel and rebook because Airbnb increased its fees for the summer. He’s requesting an additional $151.11 USD.

Is this legitimate? I’m willing to pay the $151 (in person) if the host was genuinely surprised, but I want to ensure we’re not being tricked or scammed.
